The One Look Navi XL makes in-car entertainment a completely new experience with its gigantic 8′′ monitor. The extra-large display gives you One Look convenience and the ability to watch movies with a cinema-like feel. Even in split screen mode watching the display is an adventure.
The 8′′ display provides an eye-opening 43% larger screen size than 7′′ (17.78cm) displays. You enjoy stunning navigation map detail, and even in the 50/50 split screen mode you have a clear view of all operations. Use it and you′ll never go back to a smaller size!
Cleanly installing an 8′′ screen into a regular dashboard can be a challenge, so Alpine provides an increasing number of installation kits, including everything from mechanical parts to adapters and interfaces for Steering Wheel Remote Control and Vehicle Display (if available).
The INE-W928R presents an entirely new level of user-friendly operation by giving you the choice of viewing two sources at the same time. You don’t have to go back and forth between two screens, selecting different menus. All the information you want is right in front of you. Simple touch screen icons and customisable functions add to the convenience.
My Favourites lets you put eight frequent actions on one screen for one-touch selection, and arrange the layout the way you want it by dragging icons. Tune in your favourite radio stations, search your favourite POI categories, or call your favourite people without scrolling through the phone book. You can also select the background colour and match audio settings to your car model. And all this works for two people, based on Bluetooth phone recognition.
If you and your spouse or another person frequently drive the car, you can both save your own user profile. When you enter the car, Bluetooth automatically connects the phone and initiates your profile. The profile includes the background colour and basic operating screen as well as favourites, phonebook, radio presets and camera view. You don’t have to manually input settings each time, saving time and making your whole system more convenient to use.
No matter what media you want to enjoy, the INE-W928R is ready. It provides music and video playback from your iPhone/iPod, USB sticks and a DVD player (DVD-Video / CD / DivX / MP3 / WMA / AAC). Videos look great on the 6.1” WVGA display with Visual EQ mode selection. You can also stream music via the built-in Bluetooth module or simply connect a Nokia (Symbian™) phone (using the KCU-230NK). Sound customising functions include MediaXpander, 6-Channel Time Correction, Preset Equaliser (10 modes) and 9-band EQ.
Alpine makes it easy to integrate the INE-W928R with the factory system in your car. We have interfaces that let you operate functions via the steering wheel remote control and use a sub-display to view information from the head unit on the gauges. It’s all part of the One Look Navi concept aimed at letting you keep your eyes on the road.
With the new iGO Primo 2 software, using a navigation system has never been so easy and convenient, thanks to its wide range of very helpful functions. The INE-W928R gives you wide map coverage of almost all European countries, support for maps with 3D landmarks, highway mode, advanced address input and other sophisticated features. This Advanced Navi Station has everything you need, no matter what countries you travel in. It covers 46 Western and Eastern European countries with 29 languages for voice guidance and Text-To-Speech in 15 languages. Its enhanced POI database makes it easy to find your favourite places and to explore new areas you have never been to. It also provides a TMC tuner that always keeps you on the route with the least traffic activity.
Within 30 days after the installed unit’s first GPS fix, you can go to www.naviextras.com to check if there is a map update available and download it free of charge. This ensures that you have the latest map data after purchase.
3D maps give you a much more realistic view of the area where you are driving. The maps provide hundreds of 3D landmarks and the city maps show 3D buildings, making navigating much easier.
In addition to a view of the map, this mode gives you various detailed information such as upcoming rest stops, restaurants and petrol stations. You can see the distance and estimate arrival time for more efficient route planning.
You can input postal codes for all European countries, including 7-digit UK codes, which makes searching for addresses quicker. The system even reads partial addresses. Select your own language from 33 different keypads, including Cyrillic and Greek.
In addition to keeping you informed and entertained, Alpine wants to improve your safety. The One Look Safety features include Advanced Bluetooth capabilities, rear view camera support and a detachable faceplate, and are designed for safer driving and to protect your system.
Adding an Alpine rear view camera makes reversing and parking much easier and safer. Coloured pylons appear on the screen as distance guides, and can be adjusted to match your car. Alpine Multi-View cameras can be controlled from the screen via touch control.
The built-in Bluetooth module lets you safely use the phone without actually having to hold it. And now Alpine’s Advanced Bluetooth provides new functions for even greater driving ease. Supported by most Bluetooth-enabled phones, it allows you to easily access your phonebook with automatic updates and fast alphabet search. You can hold and switch incoming calls and also view a Speed Dial display with call history.
You can pair a total of 5 phones with the INE-W928R. You can even stream music from one phone while making handsfree calls with another at the same time. Set your 4 most frequent called numbers for easy One Look access in the speed dial screen.
Not only is viewing enhanced, but operating various functions is also more convenient with large buttons. When driving, you’ll quickly learn that it’s more comfortable and safer to use the 8” display with easy-to-push buttons.
The 8” screen is also great for navigation, giving you a better view of more details. Even small street names become clearly visible. This makes driving a more relaxing experience and also contributes to safety.
The super-large 8” screen is actually 43% bigger than the screens of 7” monitors. DVD movies, as well as videos from iPod and other devices are much more fun to watch. Controlling playback functions is also easier.
